B- (C+, maybe?)

Last night my sister and I went to see the movie Paper Heart, which I was pretty stoked on at the end of summer. Really, the only reason I wanted to see it was Michael Cera... and I wasn't a Charlyne Yi fan, at all. Everything I've seen of her on youtube (which isn't much) has annoyed me a little bit.  Anyway,  it was super quirky and kind of cute. I wasn't blown away or anything, but it was good. Charlyne had some pretty funny moments - her awkwardness was sometimes funny, I guess (but was also boring). The romance part of it was adorable. And I loved Michael (obviously). The whole idea of the movie was alright - Charlyne doesn't know what love is, so she travels across the USA to interview people to try to learn. It was neat to hear the stories/takes on what love is. And in the end love has no single definition

Oh, the ending was shit.

let them say what they will

I just woke up to a text message from a friend telling me to pick the itunes bonus tracks from Sainthood by Tegan and Sara (out today! yes!)... aaaaaand I think the song Light Up is just what I wanted (but is no Call It Off)! Slow heart songs are my favourite.  Oh, and, Wrists isn't bad either.

So, everyone go check out Light Up (especially if you were kind of disappointed by the album...).

Love, Keiko.

fuck stats.

Standard deviation destroyed my mark in math in grade 12.  Guess what... It's going to destroy my stats mark on this assignment I'm working on+midterm tomorrow. Eff. I don't know why, but standard deviation+keiko just does not work. So, instead of working on it let's check out this wikipedia entry that one of my BFFs sent to me...

(Plus, who's stoked on the new season of SYTYCD?!)

Love, Keiko.

P.S. Once I get myself caught up in all my courses (I am determined!)/midterms are finished I plan to start blogging more/being more interesting.

I don't wanna know.

Tegan and Sara - Sainthood.

Yup, I downloaded it as soon as it leaked. That night I gave it a quick listen (approx. 10-15 seconds of each song) before I went to bed, and hated it.  Well, not hated it, but I didn't like it. I'm not sure what I was expecting - all of their albums are so different, and I've grown to love The Con more than anything, so I guess wanted something similar (or something like If It Was You...). Anyway, I was super bummed the next day because I thought I didn't like the new album, but since then I've been listening to it on repeat and I really like it. I am still a bit bummed that there isn't a slow song that just breaks my heart (example: Call It Off). I guess it sounds fun and catchy and sort of upbeat. And I like it. It's not my favourite by them (eventually after enough listens I will LOVE it), but I like it (and the bolded songs below? I love).

My faves?

Alligator
The Ocean
